Ezbak stands for Easy Backup. It is aimed to provide a simple to use file synchronization tool. This project is sponsored by Immensetech who has developed Ezbak.Net (shareware). The new versions will become Free (GPL licensed), using standard library instead of .Net. Q: What's the difference between the open source and shareware Ezbak? A: Users especially advanced users are interested in controlling the whole software tool they are using. The mission critical tasks such as backup need very secure operations known only by the users. They can freely change the code to do their jobs with confident. However, Ezbak.Net provides predefined functions, which allow end-users to get their job done as quick as possible. The two software system are using different structures and they can suit very different requirements. Q: How can I get Ezbak? A: Ezbak has a CVS repository at SourceForge: cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/ezbak from where you can download the source code using anonymous account and compile by yourself. It's not yet finished, but we are constantly updating the repository. If you are interested in the working versions of Ezbak.Net, please visit http://www.immensetech.com/ezbak to download the .Net version. Q: Can I join the developer team? A: We welcome volunteers to work on Ezbak. If you are a developer and added some functions for your organization we welcome you to upload the code to the CVS repository. To be qualified as a developer, there are just a few requirements. (1). knowledge in C++/MFC and/or (2). Web design skills. and (3). Some free time. That's all. If you are interested, please leave a message on Immensetech Community message board (go to Open Source). |
